Burton Cross Trainer Kayak
Ron Kelly has developed a kayak based on an early Olympic slalom kayak design which gives it exceptional stability as well as the ability to remain relatively dry in normal conditions without the need for a skirt.
It comes with a fin to give it directional stability and when paddling longer distances can be removed without the need for tools in seconds when negotiating very shallow rapids if required.
Its very light weight contributes to it’s good turn of speed and making it easy to load and unload a well as ease of porting when encountering rapids up stream.
The extensive use of Carbon fibre and Kevlar in its construction enable a build weight of 10 kgs plus approximately one Kg. of buoyancy whilst making it extremely strong to repel any sharp submerged objects which may be encountered.
This Kayak has proved very popular with ladies as well as senior paddlers who want to maintain their independence when going for a paddle.
Great for general recreational paddling for fun or exercise while still maintaining its wild water qualities.
